Changes in my programme

This is my first year in the University, I’m studying Biochemistry. At this moment, no one knows if we like this study programme until third year. There is one subject in our first year associated with the program which name is “Reasoning and Scientific Communication”. And in the second year, we have no one. In my opinion, this should change now because it’s a lot of wasted time without doing something related to the program. Other thing that need to change now is the average of “Introduction to Calculus”. There are friends who passed the subject only knowing how to use excel, and in “Calculus” they don’t know nothing. If you know how to do the “Polya Method”, you pass without knowing maths. This career lasts 5 and a half years (minimum if you want to do research in the future) this is excessive if we compare to other countries like United States or Canada, there only takes 2 years. Some teachers are obligated to teach in University to do research, so they don’t have vocation d

My Opinion about....

My opinion about violence in television. In my opinion, the violence in television is too excessive, and there is no filter for anyone. Actually, I don´t like to watch the news because they cause panic in everyone. They scare you with “portonazos”, and when is more violent, they give more attention to that because people like the morbid. My opinion about buying pets instead of adopting. I really hate when people buy pets, because they aren´t objects. My friends used to buy dogs for example. I’ve never bought a dog, and I will never buy one. All the dogs in my family were adopted. And also, thieves steal these dogs because they are expensive. My opinion about recycling. A lot of people say that it’s ok to recycling, but they never go to a green point. My family recycle a lot in the house, we have different bags to different things like plastic, glass and paperboard. Schools need to teach more about recycling and how can we help the environment. My opinion about

The importance of Cartoon/Anime and Manga

To be honest, I don’t watch too much TV series or cartoons, and rarely am I watching anime because I have other hobbies. But when I was in school I enjoyed to watch a lot of cartoons, especially Cartoon Network, it’s probably that my favourite cartoon in that moment was Ed, Edd and Eddy. This show is about three kids who try to scam or win money to buy candies, they have a lot of adventures trying to win 25 cents, and they have a lot misfortunes. I always liked them because his humour it’s really weird and atypical. Right now, I ‘m not reading a manga, and I’m watching less anime than last year. I started to read manga because of recommendation of a friend. I think that read is one of the best hobbies ever, I spend like an hour a day reading manga when I was in school, but I hate to wait one week or even a month to read the next chapter of something, so its recommendable to read different mangas. The Anime was important in my life because that defined my friends and I really think th

In the actuality, to do advanced research you have to study a lot, a lot of years reading papers and books but its worth. There are a lot of possibilities of masters or PhD that you can choose between them like Biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, etc. An area that took my attention is neuroscience. Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary science that works with other disciplines like philosophy, maths, and chemistry. Neuroscientists study the cellular, functional, behavioural and medical aspects of the nervous system. Chile is one of the best in the world in this area so I don´t really need to go outside of the country to study this. The research will help people with Alzheimer disease, autism, Parkinson and people who are addicted to drugs. A greater understanding of neurological factors can help in developing medications and strategies to treat and prevent these and many other issues. The University of Chile have this master, it takes from 4 to 6 semesters and it costs around
