Gold Nanoparticles


The science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. A lot of people love science, they like to discover new things and how can they change the world to be better. There are a lot of scientists around the world investigating about how to cure some issues, like cancer, Alzheimer, etc.

One of the recent improvements are the gold nanoparticles, they have been widely employed in bionanotechnology based on their unique properties and multiple surface functionalities.

At the moment, this particles are used in the treatment of Cancer, and also in our country are investigating the use of this to prevent Alzheimer. One of the disadvantage is there are inherent problems and potential problems to the use of nanoparticles in the delivery of drugs to the target site such as size of the nanoparticle and drug conjugate, intratumoral pressure and differential expression of receptors at the tumor site.

This particle is very important in my career, especially the people who study biomedicine, because we can investigate the properties and possible treatments with them.  
It’s probably that this nanoparticles are the future in the diagnosis of cancer.

    The uses that this nanoparticle has to treat the cancer and the alzahaimer are really interesting, hopefully they will finish the investigations in those areas, but with positive results for all.

    Gold nanoparticles are very important for science advances, I didn't know in our country are investigating about it. I have another thing to say, the picture looks like a flower XD

A Country I Would Like to Travel

Hello to everyone, today I’m going to talk about a country I would like to travel to. I would like to go to Uruguay, because my father lived in Montevideo when he was younger and talked a lot about his experience, he showed me how to drink mate like a Uruguayan, drinking in the street and without sugar. I know they like a lot of football, eat roast meat, the marihuana is legal there (I don’t care about that because I don’t smoke) If I go to Uruguay, I will go to the “Estadio Centenario” to watch a football match. If I have the opportunity to watch the classic between Peñarol and Nacional I will be there. Also I want to visit “Ciudad Vieja” neighbourhood, because of the bohemian architecture. In this moment, I don’t really want to live there because it’s an expensive country to live, their inflation is high right now, and the bureaucracy there is too slow for the low population.

Changes in my programme

This is my first year in the University, I’m studying Biochemistry. At this moment, no one knows if we like this study programme until third year. There is one subject in our first year associated with the program which name is “Reasoning and Scientific Communication”. And in the second year, we have no one. In my opinion, this should change now because it’s a lot of wasted time without doing something related to the program. Other thing that need to change now is the average of “Introduction to Calculus”. There are friends who passed the subject only knowing how to use excel, and in “Calculus” they don’t know nothing. If you know how to do the “Polya Method”, you pass without knowing maths. This career lasts 5 and a half years (minimum if you want to do research in the future) this is excessive if we compare to other countries like United States or Canada, there only takes 2 years.
